Visibility & PIN protection
- 01
Public
Default. The channel appears in the public station directory and your organization's channel list, and is discoverable via search engines. Anyone with the URL can listen, no login needed. Suitable for open broadcasts, talks and community radio.
- 02
Not listed
A not-listed channel does not appear in the directory and is not discoverable via search. It is reachable only via the direct link or join code. Anyone with the link opens the channel page and listens, no login. Suitable for internal or shared broadcasts that should not be advertised publicly.
Tip
Not listed protects through being unlisted, not through a password. Anyone who knows the link gets in. For real access control, also set a PIN. - 03
PIN protection
PIN protection is independent of visibility and can be enabled for both public and not-listed channels. With a 6-digit PIN set, listeners must enter it before they can listen or see recordings. The channel page itself loads even without the PIN, showing only basic info (title, cover) and the PIN prompt. The live broadcast, listening and recordings stay hidden until the correct PIN is entered.
Heads up
Change the PIN any time in channel settings. Rotate it when it has been shared with several people. - 04
Change visibility, PIN and status
Visibility (public/not listed), PIN and status (active/inactive) can be changed any time in channel settings. Switch to not listed and the channel disappears from public lists but stays reachable via link. Set a channel to inactive and it is reachable neither publicly nor via link or join code.

Adding external speakers
Listeners stay listeners. If someone should speak on air, invite them via the guest-speaker flow which generates a separate token link. See
Invite guest speakers.
