AI add-ons & BYOK

  1. 01

    Live translation

The broadcast is transcribed, translated and rendered as audio in the target language live. Listeners pick their language in the player and hear the broadcast exactly in that language.

    • Latency typically a few seconds behind the original.
    • Multiple target languages per broadcast supported.
  2. 02

    Live subtitles

Listeners enable subtitles in the player, in original language or already translated. Useful for accessibility or muted playback.

  3. 03

    BYOK: Bring Your Own Key

Instead of the providers bundled with OpenBooth you can plug in your own API keys. Requests run directly through your keys; you pay the provider costs directly to the vendor.

    Note

BYOK is included in the Pro plan at no extra cost. OpenBooth doesn't add markup to provider costs.
  4. 04

    Set up BYOK

Under Organization → AI & BYOK pick a provider per component and store the API key. Keys are stored encrypted.

    • STT (speech-to-text)
    • LLM for translation
    • TTS (text-to-speech)

    Heads up

Set a monthly spending limit at the provider. That way you avoid surprises during viral broadcasts.
